2nd time for the PEI Humane Society to be selected by the members of 100 Women Who Care PEI. Carolyn Thorne, Executive Director (right) was excited to receive a cheque from Aileen Matters and Valerie Docherty, who is holding Bucky Joe, to be used for their Safe Haven Program.
COVID-19 has once again prevented our members from gathering for our December meeting; however, we still made a difference for Santa’s Angels via our Zoom meeting.
Cheque presentation to Joyriders PEI following our first Zoom meeting. Aileen Matters and Cheryl Paynter (from the left) presented two very happy volunteers, Janice Cole and Daphne Davies, with a much needed donation to their organization.
Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the quarterly June 2020 meeting was not held.

For the second time since the PEI Chapter of 100 Women Who Care was established in 2014, a charity has been chosen once again to be the benefactor of the members. Danya O’Mally, Executive Director of Family Violence Prevention Services, was moved to tears when her organization was announced. At our 5th Anniversary meeting, a cheque of $20,100 is presented to Bernie Plourde of ALS Society of Prince Edward Island by Amanda Beazley, March 2019 recipient (Boys & Girls Club Charlottetown) and Constable Tim Keizer, first recipient (DARE Program) in June 2014.

This money will be used to assist in the development of serenity paths for Veterans, on a new piece of property donated to Island Nature Trust.
